Bobby Pulido is set to be honored with the Icon Award at the upcoming fourth annual Premios Tejano Mundial.


The Tejano Music Recording Academy will bestow the ICON award upon Bobby Pulido at the fourth annual Premios Tejano Mundial 2024. This prestigious award is granted to a musical artist who has significantly influenced Tejano music through their impactful work.

With a remarkable three-decade career in the music industry, Bobby Pulido stands as one of the most influential Tejano artists, particularly connecting with Mexican American teenagers and earning the title of “Teen Idol” in the 1990s. His debut album, “Desvelado,” released in 1996 by EMI Latin, achieved platinum certification from the RIAA after surpassing 100,000 units in sales. Presently, Pulido continues to contribute to the music scene as both a solo artist and a collaborator across various music genres.

In addition to his musical achievements, Pulido has ventured into acting, making his debut in 2003 as the lead actor in the made-for-television film “La Decada Furiosa.” He further showcased his acting skills in telenovelas such as “Fuego en La Sangre” and “Qué pobres tan ricos.”
