Despite facing criticism and a boycott announcement from some Disney fans, the remake of ‘The Little Mermaid’ has achieved remarkable success by claiming the top spot at the global box office in its opening weekend.
This achievement has resulted in dethroning ‘Fast X,’ which had already been playing in theaters for a week. Vin Diesel‘s film, released on May 19, recorded a worldwide box office gross of 512 million euros within its first two weeks
However, with the release of ‘The Little Mermaid,’ the Disney production managed to soar to the first position within just a few days. During its opening weekend, the film garnered 185 million dollars
